You will need accommodation. The area where you stay is not very important, as the attractions are spread across the island and the roads are good. Simply staying in the center of Ponta Delgada should be avoided to save time in peak traffic hours.

• Night Chouriçada: a short night walk, followed by a meal of chouriço and morcela, grilled on the spot and served with bread and excellent wines. For dessert, a delicious Azorean pineapple mousse.

  It is an unexpected night walk that later turns into an opportunity to enjoy delicious snacks.
